VP, Sales & Marketing - Renewable Power Generation

MARKETING: Strategy is key. People are willing and hardworking, but need some direction.

  • Set up strategy for targeting and expanding geographical (CA, Western States, Western Canada) and vertical Markets. Existing and operating California installations include wastewater, dairy, food, beer, hospital, Federal, state, and municipal buildings.
  • Develop State and local strategies based on local/national incentives and regulations.
  • Determine the best approaches to develop PPA/financial structures for >1 MW.
  • Build JV’s, distributors, and partnerships with utilities and integrators.
  • Identify and develop new markets.
       

SALES: Organization currently includes Direct Sales Engineers, a lobbyist in Sacramento, 10 service/installation engineers and a Senior Engineer. Need to expand. Over 30 MW in pipeline.

  • Strengthen the California Sales, and US sales organization, so he should have knowledge of the California Markets. East Coast market has good sales coverage.
  • Ensure that contracts, particularly EPC will be realistic and doable.
  • Ensure everyone is up to speed and current on grants, tariffs, tax credits, PTCs, and other incentives.
  • Manage the sales force: hire, train, coach, support, monitor costs and incentives to maximize efforts and productivity.

Energy / Climate Change Advocate

Journey-level position to provide technical expertise, strategic analysis and policy recommendations regarding energy services, energy efficiency, development of renewable energy sources and climate change, including greenhouse gases and air quality regulations to implement programs associated with energy, climate change and other related regulations; to interpret and communicate the impacts of regulations or legislation to member agencies and work to mitigate those impacts.

Experience:  Four years of experience in interpretation, impact analysis and program implementation related to energy, climate change and air quality issues.  Training equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a job-related field preferred.
